7. Having curtains that are too short.
If you want your room to look balanced you need curtains that will touch the floor. Curtain length might not be on your list of priorities when decorating your living room, but it should be. Curtains that are too short will make the room look smaller, awkward and very unbalanced.
8. Hanging pictures at the wrong height.
If you have paintings you want to hang or perhaps just a couple of family photos you want to display on your wall, it’s important to hang them at the right height. You don’t want for them to be too high up on the wall or too low, aim for eye-level, which is around 60 inches from the floor to the center of the painting or photo.
